Welcome to our broodmare page. We have recently added some new mares to our broodmare band. We are very happy to say all our mares have been hand selected and ridden before they earn their spot as a broodmare. We strongly feel that raising good offspring has to come from two outstanding parents. With this being said all the mares in our broodmare band have been either shown or ridden maybe not broke to death but long enough to know they have ride and athletic ability, but all mares carry a nice disposion-there is to many horses out there to ride a bad one and last but not least  conformation. Conformation is a must in  having a successful breeding program. We like to think of it this way we want our horses to compete at any event we enter them in if its roping, barrels, pleasure, or reining and turn around and win a  halter class.      

RG AT 411

RG At 411 has been one of our latest additions to our broodmare band. She is broke to ride and we plan on showing her this summer and breeding her for 2013. She is an OWN daughter of Real Gun who was an AQHA SUPERHORSE, AQHA PERFORMANCE CHAMPION AND AN EARNER OF 453 POINTS IN 6 EVENTS who is sired by PLAYGUN, $183,538 - Equi-Stat 7 Cutting Sire and a Leading Reined Cowhorse and Reining Sire. and out of MISS WAR CHIPS, whose foals have earned more than $250,000, including HICKORYS LEO GIRL, $138,306. RG At 411 comes from a strong foundation bred mare to tie right in with our foundation breeding program.

   
Padgetts Sidney Star

Padgetts Sidney Star is a mare that we have had around for awhile and starting to get some age on her. This mare crosses very well on Poco Struck Oil. She seems to always produce us a buckskin or palomino with 3 or 4 white socks and a blaze! Her sire Mr Cee Peppy is the sire of many NCHA & NRCHA earners and sired by MR SAN PEPPY-NCHA Hall of Fame, NCHA & AQHA World Champion, $107,866 NCHA Earnings and out of Cee Little Missie. Cee Little Misssie is out of Cee Bars who earned his Race ROM with a SI of 95 and race earnings of $2,272. And once again this mare was crossed with a 100% foundation grand daughter of Pat Star Jr. Many of this mares colts are going onto be great rope horses! We have shipped one of her colts to New York and another is just starting his roping career!

     Foster Bottom Goose

Foster Bottom Goose aka "Goose" was purchased off the Raymond Quarter Horse Dispersal Sale. Her sire Poco Tripology was an own son of Poco Blunder that earned a ROM show and is the son of the great Poco Bueno, an AQHA Chanpion, ROM cutting, and performance and halter point earner. Poco Bueno has sired AQHA champions and superior halter/performance horses. Goose has had some cutting training and can really get down and ride too. This mare seems to produce some athletic big hipped colts.

     Strawberrys Mercedes

Strawberrys Mercedes is one of our smallest mares but one of the BEST producers! She only measures in at 14.1 hands but dont let her size hold you back from choosing her colts. Crossed on Poco Struck Oil we have had many successful offspring-FQHR point earners, Futurity Champions, & great rope horses or trustworthy mount to trail ride on. She has produced many top sellers for us at sales and we look forward to her colts every year! Sired by Strawberry Flair an own son of well known foundation stallion Paprika Pine who was owned by the Krogman Ranch. Paprika Pine was a sire of AQHA pt earners and ROM earners.  

Show Leo Lightning

Show Leo Lightning is a beautiful blue roan mare tha stands 15 hands and was ranched on before we purchased her. She has only been in our broodmare band for a couple years now and we have been very please with what she has produced us already. Sire Krogs Spike is also another son of the great Krogam stallion Paprika Pine and traces back to Laughing Boy who was a AA with a SI 85 and a earner of $2800+. Dam Salute Mandie is a grand duaghter of AQHA Champion Leo Maudie who also was a AAA on the track.

Honey Bar Jacks

Honey Bar Jacks aka "Cowgirl" was my previous 4-H horse so I can say this mare has a ton of talent and versatility. She could show in a pleasure classe, place in a halter class or chase a cow.  She is heavily influenced with Pitzer breeding Blues Jacks Roper was a grandson of Watch Moore Jack who was sired by the famous Two Eyed Jack.. Honey Bar Merry is an own daughter of Joe Jack Honey Bar who was a Performance PT & ROM Earner and out of Sue Tripper by the good horse Triple Goldrush who was a Performance Champion and AQHA Champion. Cowgirl's colts have been as good minded as you can ask to train.

Red Roan Fancy

Red Roan Fancy is one of our oldest mares in the herd but her quality just keeps getting better every year. Her sire is Blues Beard who was a really nice blue roan son of Blue Valentine who is one of the greatest well known rope horse sires to this day. She is out of Dallas Bay Lady who was a grand daughter of Doc O Lena who had NCHA LTE: $22,000+. This mare was used as a ranch horse and a rodeo and jackpot team roping horse before she was turned into a broodmare!

Krogs Honey Dreamer

Krogs Honey Dreamer was a home riased baby that won every halter class we showed her in. This mare still has the smallest head and biggest chest and hip in the group. We rode this mare previous to turning her into a broodmare and this mare was very easy to break out and had a ton of athletic ability we still jump on her time to time just to ride! Her sire Krogs Hy Dreamer was a very nice looking red roan 14.3 hand grandson of Watch Joe Jack and Paprika Pine. Barons Honey was a very deeply bred foundation mare that had Baron Bell, Delleo on her papers and King an Leo right there as well.

   Dynamites Dunit Miss

Dynamites Dunit Miss is an own daughter of The Sheriff Dunit who was Top 10 High Point Sr Reining, 35 Working Cow Horse, 16 Amt Wkg Cow Horse pts, & an earner of $2996 NRHA and was sired by the well known Hollywood Dun It. Hollywood Dun It was an earner of $65,000+ and is the 2nd All TIme Leading Sire on the NRHA list. Dynamites Dunit Miss was shown in the Montana Halter Circiut and was very successful as a weanling and yearling!

Sir Aledo Sharp Lady

Sir Aledo Sharp Lady was purchased from the Lapke Quarter Horses. This good mare is a daughter of Sir Aledo who is a son of PC Bronsin-ALL AROUND CHAMPION at the World Foundation Quarter Horse Show by the well known barrel horse sire Sun Frost! Aledo Pine Cone goes back to the well known foundation stallions-King, Wimpy, Pretty Boy, & Poco Bueno. This mare always has one of our top colts. We sold one to North Dakota as a stud prospect and her 2011 colt is one of the best looking one in the barn!

KBJ Pocos Gold Honey

KBJ Poco Gold Honey is a home riased baby that we kept back for a broodmare out of Poco Struck OIl our FQHR Champion and point earner in mulitple events. Poco Struck Oil is one of the last buckskin grandsons of Pooc Bueno left in the world today. This filly is out of HOney Bar Jacks that can be seen above. We started this mare and rode her for about 50 days. She was quick to learn and very eager to please!
